No command-tab shortcut to move focus to next application in Mac OS X Screen Sharing

The shortcut I miss most when logging into a host via Apple OS X’s “Screen Sharing” is the ability to cycle through open applications with the click of two buttons (Command Tab).  Unfortunately, Apple doesn’t pass that or similar command-key combos onto the remote host.  What to do; especially once you’ve found that “Move focus [...]

Please do not heed the pink elephant

Think about anything but the pink elephant in the corner.  This is not the proverbial elephant, but his younger sister.  She’s a good deal smaller, but a smaller elephant is like a smaller tank.  Just how small can it get before it’s not really a tank?

Storm a continent off course

Really, this is midwest snow three quarters of a continent off course.
Not that I don’t appreciate a white Christmas.  Happy Holidays Seattle, especially to those who shredded powder on Denny in a row boat.  Sorry I missed that.
Still, I’m ready for cloudy skies, foggy streets, and ubiquitous drizzle, eased by the liquid sunshine we call [...]

2008-11-11 Field Report from the Leafy Front

News from the front is mixed and leafy.
With the help of Captain Cheryl we were able to recapture the north pass and valley.  Those of the enemy’s forces we weren’t able to capture where pinned down.  We were able to contain several battalions, but weather conditions forced us to withdraw. No doubt many will escape.
Morale [...]
